Beth-Magen was birth out of my journey that began in 2013, where I experienced the depths of the deep. While on that journey the "Potter" began forming me into who He wanted me to be, and that was to inspire the downtrodden and under-celebrated dressed in strange apparel [Zephaniah 1:7-9].
King David poetically penned, "My defense is of God, which saveth the upright in heart [Psalms 7:10] and He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler" [Psalms 91:1-4].
In study, I found the word Beth in the language of God means House. Intertwining my journey and these scriptures, Beth-Magen was created.
As I began forming and shaping Beth-Magen's five principles (Morality, Accountability, God-ship, Excellence, and Nobility), I realized these attributes served as a defense against recidivism-effectuating a change in my life and behavioral patterns.
It is my earnest hope, that is anchored in what Christ has taught and done for me, others who are captive in mind or person can discover their M.A.G.E.N; by faith -it is Christ that shed rays of Light upon every man, bringing enlightenment, causing them to be standard bearers [Matthew 9:27-31].
"12 Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee; 13 When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man. 14 And the Lord shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south. 15 The Lord of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar. 16 And the Lord their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown,
lifted up as an ensign upon his land. 17 For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids [Zechariah 9:12-17].
Peace unto the fellow-labourers of the Word, receiving heaven here on Earth as Christ brought it.
"Say to Rehoboam son of Solomon king of Judah, and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin: Thus said the LORD: You shall NOT set out to make war on your kinsmen. Let every Man return to his home, for this thing has been brought about by Me." They heeded the words of the LORD and refrained from marching against Jeroboam. Rehoboam dwelt in Jerusalem, and he built fortified towns in Judah. [2 Chronicles 11:3-5]
The purpose of Beth-Magen is to serve as a fortified city, a HOUSE OF DEFENSE, assisting young and mature men resist the fall from societal freedoms and the cycle of recidivism through education, life skills, and community connectivity.
To introduce the concept of Anti-Recidivism through effective counsel, exploration in academia, and Christ's headship to the Captives of Hope, who are jewels in the crown of the self-Existent and self-Proclaimed.
The House of Anti-Recidivism will serve as a Beth-Magen, a house of Defense, to provide a shield; justifying and supporting self-management, teaching self-regulation, and encouraging the former captive to exercise appropriate freewill.
You are mighty people being shields to the heart of excellence!
